The Open Source Cryptography Workshop is returning for 2026

After taking a year off from organizing OSCW 2025, I’m back for next year’s event in Taipei.

I’m still unsure if I want to travel there, but I’m at least helping put together the workshop. Right now we’re planning a Germany trip as a family next summer, so I’m not sure I can also put together the funds to actually attend RWC/OSCW.

I’m pretty excited that this time, OSCW will be an RWC “affiliated event”, which takes some of the most complex planning for a workshop like OSCW off the plate of we organizers, and keep our focus on excellent content.

As an aside, I realize I want to move this blog to Hugo, the way I have OSCW’s website set up. While I certainly have nothing against Ruby, it’s much easier for me to navigate the Go ecosystem at this point in my career than fighting with Gem bundles after an OS upgrade. (oof).
